Project Details:
A project dedicated to enhancing the skills of sport staff for the betterment of society. Beyond physical health, sports serve as a powerful tool for fostering inclusion, diversity, and mental well-being. By equipping physical educators, coaches, and trainers with the right skills, we aim to create safer, more inclusive environments, ultimately driving positive societal change through sports.
Our Story

Sports besides the well-known benefits for physical health are also supported as a very beneficial tool. “5 Skills One Sporter” aims to increase skills of sport staff to promote a safe and sound environment for all sports participants. The consortium of the project considers that sport can increase the absorption of certain values, attitudes, and mindsets beneficial for inclusion and diversity, gender equality, active citizenships and mental health. With a cross-sector collection of experts in diverse topics, all in correlation with sports, this project aims as well to demonstrate how sport is more than physical activity, that actually is a path and tool for positive societal change. By analyzing beneficiaries and target group of partners activities, all interventionists noticed problems that affected youth and adults on a daily basis. Problems that were there before and were increased by the pandemic of COVID-19. Mental health problems such as depression and anxiety are drastically rising, social, racial and gender discrimination are still a prominent problem in Europe, that this project aims to contribute to the solution of. Producing an impact in not only the education system of physical education, the continuous training of sport professionals in order to contribute in a positive way to society in general, while capacitating youth as well to ultimately creating better social environments for them to practice sports. Sport staff, such as Physical education teachers (PE), trainers, coaches, personal trainers and sports managers can have an immense impact in one’s life, for better or worse. In order to minimize negative impact and provide the training on the skills to promote positive impact, this project targeted topics that all sport staff should be capacitated.
